    Leca stands for Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregate. Leca has wicking properties so place your plant or cutting in a net pot filled with leca and fill your cover pot 1/3 of the way up with water or nutrient water depending on what you're growing. The leca will draw the moisture up to the plant or cutting. Leca doesn't contain any nutrients like soil so the plants rely on you to provide the nutirents. I recommend you flush plants in leca every 2 weeks to remove salt and mineral build up and then replace with fresh nutrient water. Leca and net pots allow you to easily check root growth and health. Leca can be reused again and again making it very economical. Dont forget to flush your leca before using to remove any dust.
